Love the beach and lake - great for a day trip with the family (boating, fishing, beach day)! The camping sites are very close with minimal privacy from neighbours, so we prefer camping elsewhere for that reason. The park is always clean and the concession store for snacks and ice cream is very convenient with being out of town.

While it is becoming more popular, Kinbrook Island Park is a fantastic place to go camping. Right on an amazing lake for boating and sailing (an established sailing club is attached to the campground), with a good beach and boatlaunch right in the campground. Close to dinosaur park and a few other attractions and destinations but best suited for a relaxing camping trip to swim, boat or walk/run/cycle. I can't recommend this place enough.

Only drawback many people has dogs ( us too we arrived with 2) but beaches were not dogfriendly. Still lots of dogs were in water thankfully campsite attendant was not forcing rules if you were away from main beach area.

Nice place to spend a sunny day during the weekend in the summer. The beach isn't great; the sand is not made of very fine particles. The water is warm, clean and nice. You can swim a decent length and the depth of the water goes progressively. There are facilities for barbecue and there is a small concession. The parking gets full , but you can still find a place not far from the beach.

Water is quite shallow for small kids, tons of families enjoyed the beach in this hot summer .Birding is great we saw black tipped pelicans and more.

Favorite park so far. 2h 15 min from Calgary. Road is not busy to get there. You can do swimming, boating, canoeing, fishing, birding, biking, hiking.

We liked this place a lot - possibly because the weather was amazing so we made full and total use of the beach. Which was GREAT! But if it wasn't beautiful outside, I'm not sure what else we'd have done? Still, we had a great weekend here and will be back (with our fingers crossed for hot weather!).
